UT Trencher Compact

UT Trencher to suit skid steer loaders & mini excavators

Features the same strength, durability and quality of its larger brothers, but its compact design helps to minimise the cost of the attachment. The maximum digging depth is 600mm & 900mm

The trencher chain has a pitch of 1.654", with a 33,000lbs breaking strain. Trenching widths range from between 100mm up to 350mm wide (50mm increments). All trenchers are supplied with a crumber and a single 450mm clearing

The UT one of the easiest trenchers to use. A robust hydraulic motor (having a high-pressure shaft seal) directly drives the drive shaft. This type of set-up reduces wear parts (eg. gearboxes), requires no on-going servicing, and achieves high start-up torque.

The drive sprocket has a tapered bore making it easier to remove the sprocket and refit the sprocket so that it lines up with the nose wheel. A labyrinth seal beside the drive sprocket stops dirt from entering the bearing housing thereby protecting the bearings from premature wear.

Apart from the drive sprocket a nose "wheel" guides the chain when trenching. This limits roller wear on the digging chain. The trencher boom with bisalloy (high grade wear plate) on top and bottom of the boom and on the trencher main frame to combat wear caused by the chain travelling over these areas. The nose wheel bearing is triple sealed to help achieve as long a service life as possible.

The main frame is fitted to a 1200mm wide quick attach frame

Hydraulic Flow Required

600 mm dig trencher is 35 - 60 lpm

900 mm dig trencher is 45 - 75 lpm

Hydraulic Pressure Required

138 - 242 bar

Trenchers are supplied with a side-shift frame (for skid steer loaders), crumber bar and chain adaptor, hydraulic hoses and breakaway couplings.

When ordering please specify the host machine (and any non-standard hitches), the breakaway coupling type, and the chain(s) sizes/types required

The overall length of the UT trencher (with the crumber bar folded back) is 1840mm, making it possible to fit the trencher width-way across the back of a truck.
